Associated Independent Stores (AIS), the UK and Ireland’s leading buying group for fashion, home, and leisure for independent retail, hosts its Members at the first face-to-face AIS annual conference since the pandemic, and the first under the leadership of AIS Managing Director, Sue Kemp.
Tackling challenges in independent retail together
The theme of the conference, on 19 June 2023 and held at Cranmore Park, Solihull, is ‘Thriving Together in 2023’.
Delegates will hear from leading industry experts and insightful speakers on topics relating to the challenges faced by independent retailers today, as well as having an opportunity to network with fellow Principal Members.

Mary tops the bill
The conference schedule is packed with expert led sessions focused on succession planning, digital marketing opportunities, and business strategy. Headlining the main speaker programme is passionate supporter of independent retail, Mary Portas. The leading retail consultant and broadcaster, will be discussing her views on the future of independent British retail, covering topics from sustainability, diversity and how to revive the local high street.
