It’s been a busy season, packed with inspirational brands and buying events
Over the last few weeks, we have delivered outstanding INDX Woman, INDX National Menswear, and INDX National Intimate Apparel shows. We’ve tailored each show with our AIS Members in mind, filled with engaging talks, catwalks, networking drinks, and exclusive buying opportunities to fuel independent retail.
First Avenue
Our own label First Avenues’ showroom was buzzing with energy during INDX Woman. Members had the exclusive opportunity to get up close with our three AW26 collection packs - Faraway Tree, Northern Lights, and Blenheim Palace - and chat with our fashion team, who were on hand to offer tailored buying advice. With nine promotional offers available, we supported Members with competitive pricing and commercial styles that have been fuelled by trend forecasting data from our partner BDA London. Each pack was showcased by fit model Sharon Lees, giving our Members a unique opportunity to see key styles literally come to life.
KATAG AG
A major highlight of this season’s shows was the presence of our partnered German buying-group, Katag. With exclusive access to six distinct brands across both Menswear and Womenswear, this partnership offers our Members a true point of difference - labels that are unavailable to any other independent retailers in the UK. This enables Members to introduce specially curated selections to their customers, whilst protecting profit margins throughout the year.
Smarter Buying - INDX BDA London Trend Sessions
In collaboration with BDA London, we hosted in-depth trend sessions to dissect the key trends heading our way in AW26. BDA London’s Georgia Charalambous walked us through the womenswear and menswear Buying Guides, full of authentic insights and featuring a Good, Better, Best pricing strategy. This allowed our Members to make impactful buying decisions that are sure to resonate with customer expectations and needs. Further enhancing the buying experience, the trend sessions featured key pieces from exhibitors on the show floor. By highlighting these key pieces, Members could feel confident turning their trend inspiration into impactful order writing.
Intimate Apparel Catwalks
The INDX National Intimate Apparel Show had such an energetic vibe all three days, boosted by our daily catwalks - curated by leading intimate apparel publication, Underlines. From dreamy loungewear and pyjamas, sporty gym sets and swimwear, to romantic lingerie sets, exhibitors showcased their best on-trend pieces on live models, offering Members an enviable view of the key AW26 styles in action. The crowds surrounding the catwalk made for an excellent impromptu networking opportunity, as Members shared their thoughts on the seasons looks.
Maximising the value of our INDX National Intimate Apparel Show, Members had the opportunity to boost their lingerie business with the help of Pudding Lingerie, the leading lingerie business consultancy. Members had access to exclusive introductory discounts on consultancy and training solutions, designed to help our independent businesses deliver enhanced service and customer satisfaction.
Networking Drinks
After a busy day of buying, our welcoming networking drinks event is the place to be. We treated Members and visitors to a well-earned drink, in celebration of our Golden Anniversary. Our kitchen team served up some seriously good nibbles, which went down well with a glass of bubbles and live music. These events provided an excellent environment for our Members to connect with each other and catch up with our Fashion Team.
