Sarah Bianchi is appointed Non-Executive board member at AIS
Sarah Bianchi is Managing Director and furniture buyer at Arighi Bianchi & Co Ltd in Macclesfield, a leading independent interiors destination, established in 1854. A passionate family business, Sarah is the 4th generation family member of Arighi Bianchi & Co Ltd.
After finishing her A Levels, Sarah attended the Marlborough Secretarial College in Oxford. She then moved to London and worked for Rt Hon Sir Edward Heath, MBE MP, in his Private Office at the House of Commons.
Returning to Cheshire, Sarah began working in the family business, starting in the flooring department and quickly learning about all the other areas of the business. Her father, Paul Bianchi – who joined the family business in 1955 – offered excellent guidance.
After Covid Paul Bianchi retired, and Sarah replaced him as Managing Director, alongside her role as the furniture buyer.
Sarah has two children of her own, James and Lucy. The family business continues to grow as in 2021 Lucy joined Arighi Bianchi & Co Ltd as Head of Communications, and the first 5th generation member.
When Sarah is not managing the longest-running family-owned furniture business in the UK, she enjoys taking her dog Peggy for walks, travelling the world, and getting lost in a good book.
