AIS Meet and Greet Event | Sports and Leisure

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of AIS and mark the 5th year of the AIS Sports & Leisure division, we introduced the AIS Sports & Leisure Meet & Greet Event. The day was dedicated to giving Members and six of the industry’s leading Suppliers meaningful positive dialogue, opening doors for deeper understanding and inspiring new ideas.

More than a Presentation

Reydon Group, HOKA, Under Armour, Brooks, Pentland Brands and PUMA were specifically curated by the Sports & Leisure team to present their brand strategies, organisational re-structures, new technology and product improvements to our Members. Best practices, commercial opportunities, service and retail operations within their businesses were also shared.

By submitting questions in advance, Suppliers were able to provide clear, tailored responses to Members’ most important queries and addressing key challenges, in a collaborative environment.

Key Highlights

Some key highlights from the event included Reydon Group's insightful presentation, highlighting best-selling products and key lines from their own brands to provide better margin. Another key highlight was Brooks, who had a designated time slot, giving our Members fantastic exposure to a vast new product range.

An expertly organised day, attendees had the opportunity to network over a complimentary lunch, spending valuable time with AIS Sports and Leisure and Leadership Teams.

Alan Galloway, Head of Sports and Leisure and CENPAC Growth, said:

Our featured Suppliers presented their brand strategies and key objectives for the coming 12-24 months. We found the day a great mix of commercial opportunities and our Members sharing common challenges facing independent retail today”

Looking Ahead

In a difficult retail environment, the commitment shown by Members strengthens their business partnerships and strategies, and we are excited to see how this develops over the coming months.

We look forward to welcoming our Members and Suppliers back at our next INDX Sports and Leisure show, held on 11 November 2026.
