The AIS Fashion division is comprehensive in its offering across womenswear, menswear, accessories, initimate apparel and childrenswear.

Members are able to source many leading fashion brands within these sectors along with our exclusive Own Brand Womenswear and Menswear ranges.

First Avenue is a womenswear brand designed exclusively for our Members the brand offers head to toe wardrobe solutions for the modern woman. The ranges follow fashion trends for a mature customer delivering new and innovative styles each season.

Our Menswear brand is designed in the UK with particular attention to quality and fit. Haworth Clothing Co. offer timeless classic pieces to suit a casual lifestyle, alongside co-ordinating essentials to effortlessly create a complete look. Kingston is our classic menswear brand.

With over eighty Member stockists First Avenue, Haworth and Kingston help to support the Independent retailer ensuring quality, style and above all outstanding value, exclusively. Providing members with a unique selling feature and higher than average branded margins.

The INDX brand was created to help us promote our in house shows which attract both Member and Non-Member attendance. In total the Fashion division hosts ten INDX shows each year, bi-annually for each department. Using our extensive exhibition space to the full we exhibit hundreds of fashion brands each year individually selecting brands appropriate for the Independent sector making a bespoke and focused offering.

Our objective for all of our INDX shows for Members is to provide the following:-

  • Exclusive and innovative Own Label ranges for Men and Women.
  • To offer a product selection which offers contemporary styling and a variety of price points for all customer types.
  • Exclusive brand launches.
  • Improve margins and increase profitability.
  • To obtain newest or most popular brands together with exclusive show discounts.

Members are paramount in helping us to develop the Fashion areas and as such we hold annual strategy meetings and regional meetings together with key senior AIS personnel. These groups consider all aspects of product and share success to help all move forward more profitably together.

Furniture is the single biggest AIS trading category and covers all product areas from upholstery to cabinet and beds. Most of the leading Brands such as Duresta, G Plan, Baker Bedford and Tempur are available through AIS and more than half of our members benefit from access to furniture ranges with AIS. In addition to supplier brands we have our own exclusive Dreamworld range of over 20 beds which gives our members non-comparable options from leading makers under one Brand identity. The group buying power of AIS means that our members can be competitive at key price points and specifications and comes with a package of marketing support to help present these beds to their customers in store.

In an initiative in 2014 we also acquired the heritage brands of Ducal and Stag. Whilst initially famous within the cabinet sector they also have the potential to extend into upholstery. AIS buyers will be offering exclusive ranges under these Brands with Ducal positioned as a younger range in its design and target customer with Stag as more traditional.

Housewares covers ranges from cookware, kitchenware and small electricals to dining, glassware and candles and is one of our most exciting product categories with many lines being sourced directly from the Far East or Europe and exclusive to AIS members.

Linens are a major product category within AIS and product sourced through us can be found in many of our members from department stores to furniture and home specialists. It’s supported by two shows each year which also include soft furnishings. A key part of our offer exclusive ranges as well as leading and well known household Brand names.
